Memorial Ride for Deepesh
Manali to Leh via Spiti Valley.
23rd June to 7th July 2008. Cost € 1350
We ride from Manali to Spiti valley via Rotang pass
and Kunzum Pass. From Spiti valley we will re-cross
the Kunzumla and ride the spectacular road to Leh,
crossing four more passes! Trip ends on 7th July in
Leh. There will be a special memorial outing in Pin Valley.
(Participants have pre-arranged their own transport
out of Leh. By taxi, bus or a flight from Leh to Delhi
which can be booked with
your travel agent, Jet Air is the best airline to use,
it is about $150 and the flight is about one hour.)
Zanskar Valley Tour.
14th July to 30th July 2008.Cost € 1500
Ash and close friends of Deepesh will ride from Leh toward Kargil and then head down the
beautiful Suru valley. On the way we pass between the
very beautiful and impressive 7000-meter high Kun and
Nun mountains that loom over the Suru valley, pass a
second gorge full of glaciers, through the Wakha
valley and then into Zanskar valley itself. We will
also trek for 5 days to an ancient Gompa that is only
accessible by foot! It is going to be quite an
adventure! We will then ride back to Leh by a
different route. This trip will be on more demanding
dirt roads! (Participants fly out to Delhi by their
own arrangements.)
Leh to Manali via Tso Moriri Lake.
7th to 21st August 2008. Cost € 1350
In this tour we can be very flexible in what we see. We will visit the very beautiful
Nubra valley and high mountain lakes like Pangong Lake
before heading out from Leh for Tanglang La (at 5,300 meters high) and the
other 4 high mountain passes on the road to Manali!
Manali, Parvati Valley and Spiti Valley.
1st Sept to 15th Sept 2008 Cost € 1350
We explore the Kulu valley and the Parvati valley before crossing
Jiri pass into Kinnur Valley. The ride into Spiti Valley via Kinnur takes us via
Nako where we stay overnight at 4000 meters!
Spiti was called middle valley as it is between Tibet and the Kulu valley!
It is therefore full of Tibetan influences. Tabo Gompa is the oldest monastery in India!
We will ride over Kunzum La (where we stay at 4300 meters),and Rohtang passes on
our way back to Manali.
Tour ends in Manali.

Three full weeks of luxury! Riding through Rajasthan on the 'Bullet' I felt like a Lion
of the desert! There was an immense feeling of space
and a soulful connection with the earth. We will be staying in luxurious
Maharaja's Palaces and in ancient Forts and Haveli's.
This is romantic India in all her colour, extravagance and splendour!
